Responsibilities- Design and analyze structural systems including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood for aviation, education, civic, tribal, commercial, and federal facilities.
- Develop calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, and construction documents that align with project goals.
- Perform load calculations, seismic and wind analysis, and material-specific design.
- Apply building codes, IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI standards to ensure functional, compliant solutions.
- Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and team coordination efforts.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and internal teams to deliver integrated outcomes.
- Support QA/QC efforts and construction administration activities, including submittal reviews, RFIs, and site visits.
- Lead structural scopes, oversee deliverables, and mentor junior staff (mid- and senior-level roles).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across disciplines and with clients.
- Critical thinking and creativity in solving complex design challenges.
- Time management and adaptability in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
- Mentorship mindset, with a willingness to guide and support junior team members.
- Clear, professional writing and verbal communication skills.
- Initiative in identifying solutions and improving workflow efficiencies.
- Mid-Level: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering, FE exam passed and actively pursuing PE licensure, 5 years of progressive experience, demonstrated ability to lead design efforts and coordinate small to mid-scale projects
- Senior Engineer: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering, active PE license, 10 years of progressive experience leading structural design for large-scale or complex projects.
- Proficiency in Revit; knowledge of structural analysis software such as RISA-3D, RISA Floor, RISA Foundation, or Adapt is a plus.
- Strong understanding of building systems, documentation standards, and interdisciplinary coordination.
- Experience in sectors such as aviation, civic, commercial, tribal, mission critical, or federal work is highly valued.
