What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Coordinator position at Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn Lodge?
Bavarian Inn Lodge is looking for a an outgoing, detail oriented professional to direct and supervise the smooth operation of the banquet room and team members, for parties of all sizes and types (for both a.m. and p.m. functions). Will ensure that an ideal dining environment is maintained and that the group’s needs are met and the event is successful. Oversees special holidays, New Years Eve and Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, meals, meetings and conferences. Assists with Brunch and special events as requested. Coordinates and directs all operational functions at the Bavarian Inn Lodge during scheduled periods to insure proper level of service and quality are delivered products; directly supervises any employees and departments in the absence of department managers; secures all areas of the Lodge. Keeps all areas neat and organized and clean. Keeps equipment in good working condition. Supervises staff and assigns duties. Helps other F&B outlets as needed. Fulfills the job duties of the Manager On Duty job description as needed.

Hours: 40-45 average per week
Earliest Shift 5:00am
Latest Shift 2:00 am
*Must be willing work a shift of hours between these times, including weekends, weekdays, evenings and holidays.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 1 year in Food and Beverage operations with basic service, beverage and food knowledge
- Serve Safe Alcohol and Sanitation Certifications
- Serve Safe Allergy Certified
- Good math skills to calculate billing and tips
- Good computer skills
- Pleasing personality, well-groomed and neat appearance.
- Ability to resolve service problems on own initiative.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and handle moderate lifting / setup of chairs decorations and tables.
- Experienced in set up and operation of all current A/V technology available.
