Summary for Class A CDL Driver: The CDL Class A Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of greenhouse products to retail stores, distributors, across the United States and Canada.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of CDL Driver include the following:

• Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport greenhouse products, plants, and related materials to destinations across the U.S. and Canada.
• Load and unload products carefully to maintain quality and prevent damage during transit.
• Conduct pre-trip, in route, and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT and company safety standards.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipping documentation, and border crossing paperwork.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, logistics staff, and customers to ensure efficient route planning and on-time deliveries.
• Other duties assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
• Minimum 2 years of over-the-road (OTR) or regional delivery experience preferred.
• Ability to cross the U.S.–Canada border (passport or enhanced driver’s license required).
• Experience handling perishable, live, or delicate products (horticultural or agricultural experience a plus).
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA medical and safety requirements.
• Minimum age of 21 years, as required for interstate commercial driving.
• ·Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Licenses/Certifications:

• Valid Class A CDL (Commercial Driver’s License).
• Forklift experience is a plus.

Work Schedule:

Typical workweek: 50–70 hours (depending on route length and season).

Drive time: Up to 11 hours per day within DOT regulations.

Home time: Usually weekends or every 5–7 days, depending on distance and delivery volume.

Seasonal variation: Heavier spring workload (March–June); lighter summer/fall schedules.
