Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS system
• Recommend menu items, including wines and spirits, to enhance guest enjoyment and increase sales through effective upselling techniques
• Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
• Maintain knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling practices
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, setting up dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operations

Skills

• Proven experience in food service roles with a strong background in restaurant or hospitality environments
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Toast POS, and OpenTable for reservations and sales processing
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations gracefully
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service techniques
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts while maintaining quality service
• Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
• Culinary experience or food industry background is highly desirable for menu familiarity and guest recommendations
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards to ensure a safe dining environment
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and increase revenue
• Experience in fine dining settings is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
