RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Service Operations Leadership
- Oversee and support service departments across all branches to ensure consistent standards, policies, and procedures are followed.
- Monitor service performance metrics, including turnaround time, equipment readiness, quality of repairs, and customer satisfaction.
- Implement standardized processes for equipment inspections, repairs, preventative maintenance, and documentation.
- Ensure all rental equipment and tools meet company safety and performance standards before deployment.
- Team Management & Development
- Lead, mentor, and provide guidance to branch service managers and technicians.
- Conduct ongoing training on equipment maintenance, diagnostics, repair procedures, and safety compliance.
- Support branches in staffing, onboarding, and performance management of service personnel.
- Promote a positive, professional, and safety-focused work culture.
- Customer Service & Support
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining clear communication, accurate timelines, and quality service.
- Resolve escalated service issues and support branch teams in offering solutions to customers.
- Partner with sales and rental teams to support customer needs and improve service coordination.
- Equipment Fleet & Inventory Management
- Oversee maintenance schedules, fleet utilization, and repair priorities across all branches.
- Evaluate equipment needs, repair costs, replacement plans, and warranty opportunities to optimize operational efficiency.
- Ensure accurate service records, work orders, and inventory control for parts, tools, and supplies.
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all service operations follow OSHA, industry, and company safety standards.
- Conduct regular audits of shops, equipment, and documentation to ensure compliance.
- Lead efforts to maintain safe, clean, and well-organized service areas at all locations.
- Strategic & Administrative Responsibilities
- Develop and implement service-related policies, goals, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare reports for corporate leadership on service performance, costs, equipment readiness, and operational issues.
- Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, equipment purchasing, and long-term service department planning.
- Support new branch openings, expansions, and major operational projects.
- 5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, service management, or related field (construction equipment rental preferred).
- Multi-site or corporate-level management experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction equipment, power tools, and repair processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel regularly between branches.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with service management systems, work order software, and Microsoft Office.
- Corporate-based role with routine travel to store branches.
- Mix of office, shop, and field environments.
- Must be able to inspect equipment, visit service areas, and interact with shop personnel as needed.
