Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Overnight Baker to join our passionate team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods during the overnight shift, ensuring high-quality products meet our standards for freshness and presentation. Duties
- Prepare baked goods such as bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies according to established recipes and standards
- Operate kitchen equipment including mixers, ovens, proofers, and pastry tools safely and efficiently
- Package baked items for display or delivery while maintaining food safety protocols
- Decorate cakes and pastries with icing, frosting, or other decorative elements to meet customer specifications
- Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to food safety management practices and sanitation standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients and assembling pastry components
- Support high-volume production needs during the overnight shift to ensure timely availability of fresh products
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food production, baking, or pastry preparation is highly preferred
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in cake decorating are advantageous
- Knowledge of food handling safety regulations and proper sanitation procedures
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on recipe adherence and quality control
- Previous experience working in a bakery, catering service, or restaurant environment is desirable
