Responsibilities
- Greet clients and visitors professionally, managing all incoming calls with excellent phone etiquette
- Manage legal case files using document management systems such as Time59, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Assist with legal research to support attorneys’ case preparation
- Draft, proofread, and review legal documents including pleadings, correspondence, and reports with precision
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical filing systems; handle data entry and document review tasks efficiently
- Support attorneys with project management tasks across various practice areas
- Conduct legal research on topics like landlord-tenant law, family law, and litigation procedures to assist case development
- Transcribe dictations and prepare summaries or reports as needed for ongoing cases or client updates
- Coordinate appointments, meetings, and court e-filings while maintaining organizational excellence in a fast-paced environment
Experience
- Prior experience working in a law office or legal administrative setting is highly preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency with legal case management software such as PCLaw or similar platforms
- Strong research skills and case preparation
- Paralegal experience or background in supporting multiple practice areas including estate planning, litigation, or family law is advantageous
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Proven ability to draft clear legal documents with strong proofreading and writing skills
- Experience handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion
