About the role
The Receiving Supervisor is responsible for the efficient operation of the warehouse with particular emphasis on the receiving department and its associates while achieving daily production goals. The Receiving Manager is responsible for maintaining consistent and efficient results that meet the desired quality and standard of Southwest Accessories Group. This role will ensure that all aspects of the receiving function are completed in an accurate and prompt manner by implementing, coordinating, and applying operational and personnel guidelines and procedures.

Ensures compliance with operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing, and shipping of productsSupervise the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, and shipping products or materialsManages and ensures successful achievement of performance goals of the receiving departmentProvides leadership, feedback, coaching, guidance, and recognition to enhance the receiving teams skill developmentDirect and manage a team of warehouse associates to achieve timely distribution and receipt of products and motivate employees to ensure productivity and quality standards are achieved.Prepare and Review tasks and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.Supervises all inbound shipments to ensure they are correct and carried out in a timely fashionConducts the daily pre-shift meetings covering previous shifts' productivity, operational problems, forecasting workload, and any other pertinent company informationMonitor site productivity standards and hold associates accountable to daily, weekly, monthly metrics; provide timely feedback and initiate corrective action when needed.Responsible for compiling, assessing, and presenting comprehensive inventory reporting / data showing patterns, inventory needs, and availability to Leadership to ensure business targets are achievedMaintains accurate daily records of goods received and orders placedAssists with physical inventory audits as permittedTrain department personnel to be technically and professionally competent.Ensure accurate inventory records by conducting and organizing physical counts and reconciling them with data storage systems.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, management or related field preferred2 years' experience in warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory and quality control.2 years' supervisory experience within a distribution center, high-volume retailer, manufacturer, or production environment.Valid Driving LicensePrior demonstrated experience managing a team of hourly associates in a fast-paced production, distribution, manufacturing, retail or similar environmentExperience coaching and guiding employeesDemonstrated organizational and time management skillsDemonstrated business communication skills, verbal and written, requiredExperience with operational process and team development preferredExcellent computer skills and aptitudeSelf-directed, motivated and goal-oriented with a strong sense of urgencyExcellent problem-solving skills. Able to dissect a problem and present a realistic solutionExperience with Warehouse Management Systems, NetSuite experience is a plus.Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in high demand and urgent situationsExperience supporting multi-location warehousing and distribution, helping support a performance cultureAbility to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.Maintains a collaborative, team relationship with direct reports, peers, and colleagues in order to contribute to the group's achievement of goals effectively and to help foster a positive work environmentDemonstrates a willingness to accept change and new approaches, including additional responsibilitiesStrong attention to detail.The pay range for this role is :
