Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our awesome team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with experience in various kitchen settings. The schedule is Thursdays through Sundays from about 2 pm - 10 pm
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping
- Assist in cooking and preparing menu items according to set recipes
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a food service or kitchen environment
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Understanding of health and safety rules in a kitchen
- Ability to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
- Excellent time management skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Certification from a culinary school is a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
