What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Assisted Living (3-2-2 schedule, 7p - 7a) position at Francois Bend?
Qualifications:
- We are looking for LPNs with a passion for working with seniors in our assisted living and memory care community.
- Provides quality care to the residents and supervises the nursing activities performed by Care Associates and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
- Admits, transfers, and discharges residents, as needed with the guidance of the Director of Wellness.
- Prepares and administers medications, as ordered by the Physician.
- Must have staff supervisory and medication oversight experience, preferably in an assisted living, memory care, nursing home, or similar environment
- May administer professional services such as; applying and changing dressings/bandages, packs and care for the dead/dying, as required.
- Experience assisting those with Alzheimer's disease and dementia is a plus.
- Assist as necessary in our community.
- Must be caring, reliable, and observant with an understanding of MAR’s and doctors' orders
- It’s essential to excel in prioritizing, multi-tasking, and working independently.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by the Executive Director, and Wellness Director.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- College degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- Six months to one year experience in a long-term care setting.
- Memory Care experience preferred.
CERTIFICATIONS:
- LPN Licensure by the State of Louisiana
- CPR Certification
Pay from $27.50 per hour.
Salary : $28 - $29
