Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive wellness programs tailored to the needs of residents in assisted living, nursing homes, memory care, and home health settings.
- Lead clinical teams by providing administrative supervision, guidance on care plans, and ensuring adherence to long-term care regulations and HIPAA standards.
- Oversee the management of medical records, documentation review, and compliance with Medicare and other regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care through effective use of EMR/EHR systems, ensuring accurate documentation and seamless communication.
- Supervise nurse management staff, oversee shift management, and coordinate staffing schedules to maintain high-quality care delivery.
- Ensure staff training on medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, HIPAA compliance, and regulatory standards to uphold excellence in resident care.
- Monitor quality assurance processes related to MDS assessments, care planning, and regulatory audits to uphold resident’s rights and safety.
Experience
- Proven leadership experience managing clinical teams within long-term care facilities or home health agencies.
- Extensive assisted living experience with a strong understanding of long-term care regulations and Medicare requirements.
- Demonstrated expertise in nursing administration, nurse management, and supervising healthcare staff across shifts.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation review, medical records management, and compliance tracking.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy related to elder care or chronic disease management.
- Prior experience working in acute care environments such as hospitals or hospice care is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance standards including HIPAA laws and long-term care facility regulations.
