What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Technician position at Franco whole foods?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is for 3rd shift.
Ensure that products and services meet quality standards, industry regulations and company
specifications.
Conduct testing, inspecting products, document findings, and recommend improvements.
Reporting safety and quality infringements to the QA manager.
Calibrating and cleaning testing equipment.
Investigate how microbes affect food, including their short- and long-term impacts and theconditions that allow them to thrive.
Train and guide production staff in quality control procedures and protocols.
Interpret and apply quality assurance standards, methodologies, and regulations.
Assist in the development and implementation of quality control policies and procedures
Apply tools and technology platforms to perform inspection activities.
Create comprehensive documentation for quality issues and note the corrective actions that were
taken.
Ensure that all departments are using proper procedures, work instructions, forms, tools and
equipment established for the jobs they perform.
Inspect raw materials to ensure consistency and integrity.
Other duties and tasks as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's degree in quality management or a related field
Three years of experience in a similar role.
Experience with writing and enforcing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Food Industry certifications.
Basic knowledge of microbiology in the food industry.
Strong analytical and mathematics skills.
Able to develop protocols in English and Spanish
Ability to work in a team environment, excellent communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to enforce processes and control conformance.
Strong understanding industry of raw materials and the manufacturing industry.
Willingness to work in noisy environments.
Open to working night and weekend

Pay: $ $14.75 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 52 per week
