JOB SUMMARY:

A Night Auditor manages the overnight operations of a hotel, serving as both a front desk representative and a financial recordkeeper. This dual role ensures seamless guest service during late hours while accurately reconciling the day's financial transactions and preparing the hotel for the next business day. Shifts are Thursday-Sunday 10:30PM – 8:00 AM

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Financial Auditing: Reconcile all daily transactions including room charges, taxes, and incidentals. Verify credit card settlements, balance cash drawers, and investigate any out-of-balance accounts.

· Front Desk Operations: Manage overnight guest interactions, including late-night check-ins, early check-outs, handling new reservations, and answering the telephone in a professional manner.

· Reporting: Run the end-of-day (EOD) process in the Property Management System (PMS). Generate and distribute daily reports on occupancy, revenue, and guest ledgers for management review.

· Guest Services & Safety: Address guest inquiries, resolve complaints, and respond to emergencies.

· Operational Support: Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance for morning readiness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

Ø Able to work a flexible schedule and adhere to start times.

Ø Wear proper attire and a nametag while on shift. Keep personal appearance professional.

Ø Ability to courteously engage with, attentively, listen to, and respect diverse groups of guests in a professional manner.

Ø Anticipate and address guests' service needs. Respond to guest requests and inquiries promptly and in a professional manner. Attend to any guest complaints and take service recovery measures if required.

Ø Be knowledgeable about daily hotel operations, check daily event sheets, and Recap logs to stay current on all changes, new procedures and events.

Ø Perform accurate check-ins check-outs as well as other necessary PMS functions.

Ø Answer the telephone in a timely and professional manner.

Ø Make reservations over the phone using proper sales techniques.

Ø Efficiently handle all payments received and the cash drawer is kept balanced.

Ø Follow and complete the appropriate shift checklist.

Ø Run end-of-day process in property management software (PMS).

Ø Maintain room status inventory.

Ø Communicate all information to the following shift to ensure a smooth transition.

Ø Maintain and clean the lobby and luggage carts as needed.

Ø Ensure all hotel keys are distributed to the appropriate parties and guest privacy is maintained.

Ø Able to understand principles of auditing, balancing, and processing.

Ø Maintain a safe, secure and healthy work environment by following safety and security protocols and complying with hotel policies and procedures.

Ø Performs other duties as assigned by management.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND JOB EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Ø High School Diploma or GED required.

Ø Excellent communication, customer service and time management skills.

Ø Excellent computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office, Excel and use of the internet.

Ø Experience with handling cash, and general administrative tasks.

Ø A team player, but able to work independently.

Ø Must be able to push and pull up to 40 lbs. and carry up to 20 lbs.

Ø Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate all office equipment

Ø Must be able to adjust to changing priorities and simultaneously complete multiple assignments despite interruptions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 per hour
