Duties and Responsibilities
Wound care nurse duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Planning and executing care plans for patients exhibiting skin complications
Educating patients, their family members, and healthcare staff on the products and interventions required for skin healing and maintenance
Documenting and photographing skin treatments required for hospital reimbursement
Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to perform bedside skin care procedures like wound debridement, skin graft cleansing, and dressing changes.
