We are seeking full-time and part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team at St. Rose Convent in La Crosse. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care while embodying our mission of love and service. Your contributions will be vital in fostering a healing environment that aligns with our values. The RN's will promote harmony of body, mind and spirit through a team approach by offering services to the retired Sisters that will advocate and foster the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being while also promoting the independence of each Sister.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in State of Wisconsin
- Identify with and display a commitment to the mission, philosophy, and core values of the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration
- Maintain a valid driver's license
- Ability for a weekend rotation and holiday rotation
- Strong knowledge of nursing principles and practices.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems
- Ability to support caregivers and other nursing staff in accordance with policies
- Understanding of the nursing process as it applies to long term care, including assessments, care planning, and evaluations.
- a love of working with seniors,
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a commitment to person-directed care (or as we call it
- -relationship-centered care!)
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Previous work experience in Geriatrics preferred
In this role, you may:
- Provide on-going assessment and management of health status for the Sisters as needed
- Maintains accurate records for each Sister
- Assists with prescription and over the counter medication by ordering and delivering medication, "setting-up" supervised medications systems and administering medications
- Advocates for the Sisters to ensure their health needs are being met in accordance with their values and wishes.
- Prioritize workload, manage time effectively and respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Communicates with other members of the Wellness team verbally and through the use of the Electronic Charting System
