WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
3 - 12 hour shifts per week
Alternating Weekends
Clinic hours 7 days a week 8am to 8pm
Patient Counsel and Preparation Explains x-ray procedures to patients. Positions and immobilizes patient for procedure, provides radiation protection and safety for self and others.
Radiograph Processing Processes exposed radiographs using film processors or computer generated methods.
Producing Exposures Produces required exposures for requested procedures; rejects and repeats work that does not meet established standards.
Equipment Selection Adjusts x-ray equipment and selects digital for proper exposure, voltage, and current in accordance with radiation safety procedures.
Area Maintenance Maintains the radiographic area in a clean, safe, orderly, and well-stocked manner
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Certificate General Radiographer
General Radiographer (GRG) - State Licensing Board
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
