What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aquatics Staff position at Franciscan Health?
The Franciscan Health Aquatic Staff I is responsible for the safety and welfare of guests through monitoring members and guests in the pool area, and engaging in client satisfaction. The Aquatic Staff I possess excellent decision-making skills and leadership skills, especially during emergencies, accidents, and incidents.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- Provide lifeguard surveillance and rescue techniques, and assist WSI with tasks, including accident prevention and rendering water safety services, as necessary.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of pool patrons by documenting, observing and enforcing all pool rules and regulations during swim lessons and Family Hours.
- Equipment maintenance and repair.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferred High School Diploma/GED
- 1 year American Red Cross Lifeguard certification Preferred
- Lifeguard Certification (LIFEGRD) - American Red Cross
