Upper School Coaches Fall 2026 (Seasonal/Temporary Part-Time; Begins August)
Francis W. Parker School is seeking applicants to fill the following coaching positions for the Fall 2026 season:

Boys Soccer JV Assistant Coach ($470/week)

Girls Volleyball JV Assistant Coach ($470/week)

Girls Tennis Varsity Assistant Coach ($470/week)
-
Golf Varsity Assistant Coach ($470/week)

Chess Varsity Head Coach ($250/week)
Regular season practice and/or competition times are between 6:30 a.m. 8:00 a.m. or 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Additionally, some Saturdays and Sundays are required depending on the sport. The season runs from 8/10/26 with the possibility of competition through 11/30/26, depending on the sport.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate with high school-aged student-athletes as well as parents and Athletic Department Administration
- Coaching experience at the high school level strongly preferred
- Experience/familiarity with IHSA and ISL rules and a commitment to youth sports preferred
- Create a team environment of respect and rapport in both coach-athlete and athlete-athlete interaction
- Engage all athletes in learning through individual activities, group and team instruction
- Demonstrate flexibility in adjusting practices, responding to athletes' needs and areas of concern
- Maintain accurate program records of awards, wins/losses, and statistics
- Assist in scheduling non-conference matches and tournaments
- Demonstrate excellent leadership skills with student-athletes and assistant coaches
- CPR/AED Certification strongly preferred
- ISBE or ASEP/NFHS certification preferred
Compensation:
Compensation is paid on a bi-monthly basis for all required coaching duties performed Monday through Sunday. Compensation does not apply to full weeks in which no team activities occur, such as during scheduled school closures or breaks.
