Francis Mailman Soumilas is an 12-attorney consumer protection litigation firm. The firm's goal is to provide exceptional advocacy to consumers subjected to unfair business, industry, and trade practices. The firm represents consumers in individual actions, as well as through class action lawsuits, in the areas of unlawful consumer credit reporting, employment background screening, fair debt collection, unlawful robo calls, unfair and deceptive trade practices litigation, and other consumer matters.
We are looking for someone with 3 years of experience working as a Litigation/Intake Paralegal and/or Assistant in a law firm setting. Federal experience preferred; plaintiff's experience preferred. Excellent writing, editing and organizational skills required. Knowledge of electronic filing systems also preferred. Excellent computer skills (in particular the citation and formatting functions of Microsoft Office, manipulation of documents in Adobe PDF and Excel formats, SalesForce, and document management software) also needed.
Generally, Monday through Friday, 9-5 with a 1 hour lunch (35 hour work week). Expected to work from Center City office Tuesday through Thursday, with option to work remotely Monday and Friday. There may be some days where Paralegal will be expected to stay later, but not often.
