HOURS: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Possible Remote Work
DUTIES: Under the general direction of the Director of Informatics, the Informatics Registered Nurse integrates nursing science with information management and analytical sciences to enhance clinical practice and improve patient outcomes. This pivotal role supports nurses, patients, providers, and interdisciplinary teams by leveraging data, information structures, and technology to drive informed decision-making across all healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, define, manage, and communicate clinical data and knowledge to support nursing practice.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize workflows and improve patient outcomes using informatics tools.
- Design and implement information systems that support evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making.
- Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and IT teams to ensure technology solutions meet clinical needs.
- Provide technical documentation, training, and support to end-users.
Qualifications:
- Required: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Preferred: Formal education or equivalent experience in information services, computer science, business administration, or related field. Minimum of two years of systems analysis experience (approved practical end-user experience may be substituted). Experience with relational database management systems, writing technical documentation, and delivering one-on-one or classroom training.
