Salon Receptionist/coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking an energetic and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Salon and Spa Receptionist. As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our salon and spa. The ideal candidate should thrive as a first point of contact position, possess excellent communication skills, have the energy to be on their feet most of the day, and have a strong passion for the beauty and wellness industry.

Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the salon's appointment booking system.
- Provide accurate information about salon services, products, and pricing to clients.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, including restocking retail products and salon supplies.
- Process client payments and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Assist stylists, estheticians, and therapists with client needs, including retrieving supplies and keeping treatment rooms tidy.
- Manage client records and ensure all information is up-to-date and confidential.
- Resolve client requests and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Stay up-to-date with salon and spa services, promotions, and special events.
- Collaborate with the salon team to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for clients.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- familiar with computer systems and software, including salon management software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Flexibility to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Knowledge of salon and spa services, products, and trends is a plus.
