What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time NP or PA-C - Clinical Research - 20 hrs/wk - fixed schedule M-F 8:30-12:30 position at Framingham Heart Study?
The Framingham Heart Study (FHS), an affiliate of Boston University, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant to perform research exams on volunteer participants that include a standardized medical history interview, blood pressure readings and interpretation of ECGs, at our Research Center in Framingham. For quality control purposes, the NP/PA will review exam information collected by another NP/PA. A small number of exams may be conducted via Zoom and/or telephone. The NP/PA will also conduct yearly medical history updates by phone. The ideal candidate will value teamwork, have excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
This is a part-time, 20 hour per week position. A 5-day per week, Monday through Friday work schedule is required. Hours each day will be 8:30 am to 12:30 pm or 9:30 am -1:30 pm.
Some Saturdays are required (approximately 3 days in the fall and 3 days in the spring).
Flexibility with start and end time may be occasionally necessary. FHS is located at 73 Mt. Wayte Ave. in Framingham, MA. This position is grant funded.
Education / Experience
- Must hold a valid NP or PA-C license with at least 1 year of experience in an NP/PA role
- Must have experience interpreting a 12-lead ECG
- Spanish is a plus
- BLS certification
