Overview
Our construction team is looking for a Class A or B driver to drive our roll off truck delivering and picking up dumpsters within Sonoma County. Dumping waste at specific sites including Novato dumps and local Rock Quarries green waste sites. Also driving equipment to jobs.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate roll-off trucks, including front loader, rear loader, dump trucks, and tractor-trailers, adhering strictly to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Load, transport, and unload waste materials efficiently using appropriate equipment such as front-end loaders or flatbeds
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck to ensure mechanical integrity and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations
- Follow designated routes for municipal waste management or commercial deliveries, maintaining timely schedules
- Load and unload containers or dumpsters at various customer sites while providing excellent customer service
- Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, including route completion, load details, and safety checks
- Comply with hazardous materials regulations when handling special waste streams and ensure proper documentation
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with air brake endorsement and experience operating roll-off trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles
- Proven experience with route driving, load & unload procedures, and delivery driver responsibilities in outdoor environments
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy trucks, dump trucks, front-end loaders, rear loaders, and flatbeds for routine maintenance checks
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, DOT regulations, state transportation rules, and hazardous materials regulations
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate manual transmission vehicles effectively
- Excellent safety protocol adherence with a focus on defensive driving techniques
- Prior experience working with solid waste management or municipal waste services is highly preferred

Pay: $29.46 - $35.48 per hour
