What You’ve Accomplished

• Completion of a High School diploma or equivalent and at least 8 years of directly related experience
• Completion of a 2-year technical degree may substitute for 2 years of related work experience
• Familiar with commonly used concepts, practices, procedures and equipment within related field
• Appropriate or related technical experience with equipment, processes and control systems used in plant, field or research applications
• Preferred ability to generate CAD drawings, if applicable and using corporate standard software
• Knowledgeable of project engineering practices and selected electrical, mechanical, and chemical equipment applications, equipment and processes
• May require being familiar with corporate drafting standards.
• Ability to interpret drawings
• Familiar with codes and standards pertaining to the applicable discipline
• Be familiar with the company’s safety and health policy and program

As an Engineering Aide in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Component Replacement & Repair Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. Your work will include:

• Will assist project engineers in completion of specific project assignments.
• Coordinates communication with other Framatome organizations and customers to resolve questions, plan, and coordinate work.
• Facilitates development of plans and cost improvement programs that allow the project to achieve its business objectives.
• Technical integration of engineering deliverables, such as specifications, technical position papers, and design reports as necessary.
• Review engineering calculations or technical documents for accuracy, appropriate content and contractual requirements
• Ownership of project schedule and execution to achieve success
• Knowledge of nuclear, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a drive for problem solving in a dynamic environment.

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $33.80 - $44.30 per hour, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
