What You’ll Do Day-To-Day
- Fabrication of custom wooden/metal shipping containers.
- Shoring and deshoring of cargo within shipping containers and on trucks.
- Stick built framing, dry wall installation, cabinet making and other general construction.
- Install and repair doors and door hardware.
- Install various wall hangings such as pictures, signs, white boards, and shelving.
- Know and follow all safety and regulatory codes for clean up and disposal of chemicals, including paint and solvents.
- Assist the painters and insulators when the carpentry workload allows.
- Minimum of 4 years’ industrial carpenter experience
- Interior and exterior carpentry
- Fabrication of custom wooden shipping containers
- Cabinet making
- Ability to select proper materials to accomplish the task
- Ability to work with lexan/plastic sheets in the fabrication of containers and enclosures
- Install and repair doors and door hardware
- Must work safely and observe all safety rules while using all types of power equipment
- Carpenters will be assigned carpentry / painting tasks as required to meet production and shipping schedules
- A uniform building code and city of Richland Municipal Code
- Ability to follow and carry out written and oral instructions and basic mathematical calculations
- Mechanical aptitude and basic equipment operation
- Must be able to safely lift 50lbs
- Able to safely bend, stoop, and remain in a standing position for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts
- Ability to function well as a member of a work team
- High School diploma or equivalent education.
- Minimum of 4 years relevant experience.
- Additional skills training preferred.
- Ability to follow and carry out written and oral instructions and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic equipment operation experience.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts including rotating shift assignment.
- Ability to function well as a member of the work team.
Total Rewards Package
- Salary: $43.84 - $46.15 per hour , and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
