What You’ll Do Day-To-Day
- Use, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain:
- Computerized equipment control systems.
- Pneumatic and electronic process control instrumentation.
- Process analytical equipment such as pH and conductivity.
- Balance, scale, and weigh systems.
- Standard, special and state of the art laboratory analysis equipment.
- Environmental HVAC control systems.
- Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machinery.
- Vacuum equipment and systems.
- Standard and computerized data collection and system monitoring equipment.
- Measure pressure, temperature, flow and level, and must apply such testing standards in performing scheduled instrument and system calibration procedures.
- High School diploma or equivalent education.
- Relevant experience may substitute for education on a year for year basis.
- Minimum pf 4 years relevant experience or completed apprenticeship.
- Instrument Technician training certification or degree (generally a 2-year program).
- Ability to follow and carry out written and oral instructions and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic equipment operation experience is desirable.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts including rotating shift assignment.
- Ability to function well as a member of the work team.
Total Rewards Package
- Salary: Starting at $54.18 per hour, increasing to $57.03 after a 6-month probationary period, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
