We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Civil Litigation Paralegal to join a small, collaborative legal team consisting of one attorney and a senior paralegal. This role focuses primarily on personal injury and employment matters and offers hands-on experience across all stages of litigation.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Part-time: approximately 20 hours per week
- Hourly rate: $20–$30, depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research to support case development and litigation strategy
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and filing legal documents, including pleadings and correspondence
- Support case preparation for personal injury and EEOC matters
- Investigate facts, gather records, and organize evidence for claims and negotiations
- Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and applicable regulations
- Maintain and organize client files and case management systems
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and third parties
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paralegal or in a legal support role preferred
- Familiarity with civil litigation procedures; experience with personal injury or EEOC matters is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong time management and follow-through
