What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Pricing Specialist position at Fracht Group - North America?
Position Overview
The Junior Pricing Specialist is responsible for developing and quoting solutions for a specific set of clients or opportunities within Fracht North America. This individual also provides solutions for either the air or ocean product services to both our internal and external customers and utilizes their operational and pricing knowledge to ensure customer success.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Work effectively via phone, email, and web conference
- Proactively recognize any problem area within a scope of work and assist in identifying ways to make improvement
- Maintain quote log and send weekly to show GR and estimated GP
- Maintain reporting of new clients
- Follow-up management for quotes sent to clients and sales representatives
- Conflict management and problem solving while proactively identifying improvement areas
- Set up and facilitate client meetings for improving active relationships. Connect appropriate sales team members with new potential clients.
- Support sales team by assisting to generate new business. Identify potential leads based on management input for specific commodities and lanes
- Negotiation of budgetary/firm pricing and contracts with key clients
- Utilize client feedback for developing and implementing processes to improve customer expectations.
- Create tailored spreadsheets, quote sheets, and tracking sheets.
- Performs such other related duties and/or projects as assigned.
Education And/Or Work Experience Required
- Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in Operations with a preferred 5 years in Pricing.
- CargoWise experience and completing quoting via CargoWise required.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication and active listening skills
- Planning, prioritizing, and time management skills
- Outstanding customer service with strong interpersonal skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
