As the Sourcing and Inventory Liaison, you orchestrate suppliers, schedules, and stock levels to keep operations moving—and you do it with a sharp eye on cost, quality, and delivery. You’ll partner daily with the Master Scheduler and the Shipping/Receiving/Inventory Control group, while reporting to the Purchasing Manager.What Success Looks LikeZero stockouts on planned builds because you aligned PO timing with the schedule.Clean invoices and on-time receipts driven by your follow-through and documentation.Suppliers engaged on cost reductions, quality improvements, and lead-time discipline.Accurate inventory reflected in ERP/MRP due to tight coordination with warehouse teams.Core ResponsibilitiesIssue and manage purchase orders for parts and services.Audit and approve incoming invoices; resolve discrepancies.Identify and onboard suppliers that meet cost, quality, and delivery standards.Collaborate with Scheduling to ensure material availability for upcoming work.Work with Shipping/Receiving/Inventory Control to maintain healthy stock levels.Process vendor returns and refunds; follow up on supplier quality issues.Operate and improve purchasing and inventory control software.Experience You’ll Need2–3 years in manufacturing/industrial purchasing or procurement.ERP/MRP experience for materials purchasing and vendor records.Independent ownership of the end-to-end buying cycle (PO to delivery).Preferred BackgroundFamiliarity with min/max, reorder points, and materials planning.Automotive, mobility, or vehicle upfitting exposure.Comfort with KPIs tied to purchasing accuracy, cost, and supplier performance.StrengthsHighly organized with impeccable attention to detail.Calm under shifting priorities; quick to adapt to production changes.Clear communicator with strong documentation habits.Excel and Outlook proficiency; precise purchasing records.Ability to prepare and interpret KPI dashboards.Open, proactive collaboration with sales, purchasing, and operations.Drive to improve systems and processes over time.Schedule and CompensationFull-time hourly; standard hours 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. with flexibility after training.Pay is commensurate with experience and qualifications.Compensation follows applicable labor/payroll laws and company policies.Job Categorization:The Purchasing Associate position is a full-time, hourly, FLSA non-exempt position.
