The Maintenance Lead will report to the Safety Manager and will drive preventive maintenance, troubleshoot complex issues, and communicate effectively to support operational success.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Leadership: Lead the maintenance department, assigning work, verifying repairs, and setting standards for shop organization and communication.
- Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Plan, schedule, and execute preventive maintenance tasks while monitoring reliability metrics (MTBF, MTTR).
- Equipment Coverage: Maintain and troubleshoot systems including powder-coat line and ovens, air compressors/dryers, HVAC/RTUs, sandblasters, vehicle lifts, forklifts, overhead doors, and building utilities (lighting, plumbing, alarms, ventilation).
- Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair electrical (24V–480V), mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic PLC/VFD systems to implement permanent fixes.
- Work Order & Documentation: Manage work orders in the CMMS, ensuring accurate records aligned to FR’s quality system and compliance standards.
- Vendor & Inventory Management: Coordinate with external vendors, oversee critical spares, and manage reorder points to avoid downtime.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA requirements, including lockout/tagout and machine guarding, while adhering to NFPA 70E/70B practices.
- Communication: Provide concise start notices for critical jobs, immediate safety alerts when necessary, and clear completion reports with outcomes and follow-up steps.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead small reliability projects, mistake-proofing efforts, and cost/energy reduction initiatives with measurable ROI.
Salary & Compensation:
The Maintenance Lead position is a full-time, hourly role with compensation based on experience and qualifications. Compensation packages are subject to applicable labor laws, company policies, and payroll regulations.

- A valid and current driver’s license is required; candidates must provide proof of renewal upon expiration.
- A clean driving record demonstrated through a motor vehicle record (MVR) check will be conducted prior to employment and annually thereafter.

Safety-Sensitive Position:
This role is designated safety-sensitive and requires a pre-employment drug test and physical. Ongoing random, at-cause, and post-incident drug and alcohol testing will also apply.

Requirements and Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience, including 1–2 years in a leadership or mentoring role within a production environment.
- Hands-on expertise across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to read schematics, safely use diagnostic tools, and apply problem-solving to reduce downtime.
- Proven experience in preventive maintenance programs and driving reliability improvements.
- Knowledge of OSHA, lockout/tagout, and machine safety standards.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70E/70B practices.
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Customer-focused approach with ability to escalate early when safety or cost impacts are identified.
