What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client Security Director position at FPI Security Services?
A security director is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of our Client’s property, as well as the welfare of employees within the Client’s premises. Enforce security policies and conducting training programs for employee. Investigate suspicious activities in the organization by checking surveillance equipment and coordinating with law enforcement personnel. Review incident reports, develop security process improvements, and allocate resources for security operations.
Security Director Summary
The Security Director manages a staff of security guards and surveillance personnel, who are responsible for patrolling and inspecting the organization’s property against theft, fire, vandalism and terrorism, as well as ensuring the safety of personnel and visitors while on or about the Client’s premises.
Security Director Essential Duties and Responsibility
- Lead a team of security personnel in their day-to-day duties and responsibilities.
- Ensure that security staff is adequately equipped and trained.
- Develop training plans for security personnel and maintain security training records.
- Manage and report to top management on security incidents and threats.
- Oversee and report on security checks/surveillance/ monitoring.
- Authorize access to facilities and ensure that access is controlled.
- Manages the day-to-day security operations
- A community liaison between security and management to ensure positive relations and transparency of our roles within the community
- Manages and trains security guards and reviews scheduling
- Ensures the security team are following protocols & procedures
- To include pictures and all necessary documentation in case of a follow up
- Presents security improvement ideas including new technology
- Conducts regular security inspections
- Investigates security threats or breaches
- Maintains upmost confidentiality and discretion
- Interacts with the community returning emails, email blasts and phone calls
- Regularly monitors and replenishes supplies, gates and patrol vehicle
- Presents security ideas to management that could benefit the community
- On call 24/7 and assessable to residents especially evenings and weekends
- Need to establish relations with law enforcement and key personnel
- Attends Board meetings as well as provide a monthly security report in advance of that meeting
Position Requirements
- (5) Years of experience in a supervisory security role.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Bachelor's Degree Needed
- D License
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Comfortable working with computers and technology
