Our client (a large chemical company) is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sr. Regional Sales Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemicals, composites, thermosets, epoxy resins, and advanced materials, with a proven track record of successfully identifying and developing new markets, applications, and customer relationships. This role will involve close collaboration with R&D teams to translate customer needs into actionable commercial opportunities, as well as working with OEMs and Tier suppliers in industries such as automotive, aerospace, wind energy, building materials, and electrical markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new market opportunities for specialty resins, thermosets, composite materials across diverse industries.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders, driving business growth and long-term partnerships.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute sales strategies, business plans, and initiatives to meet company growth objectives and revenue targets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with R&D, marketing, and technical teams to ensure the successful commercialization of new products and solutions based on customer needs.
  • OEM & Tier Supplier Engagement: Work closely with OEMs and Tier suppliers in automotive, aerospace, wind energy, and electrical markets to expand the company’s footprint in these sectors.
  • Market Insights & Trend Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Travel & Client Visits: Engage with customers and potential clients across the Americas, ensuring effective communication, relationship building, and business development opportunities.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field; MBA is a plus.

Experience/Responsibilities:

  • 8 years of business development, sales, or account management experience in chemicals, composites, thermosets, epoxy resins, electrical resins, or related advanced materials.
  • Proven track record in identifying, developing, and capturing new market opportunities, applications, and customer relationships.
  • Strong understanding of specialty resins, thermosets, and composite materials.
  • Prior experience working with OEMs and Tier suppliers in automotive, aerospace, wind energy, building materials, or electrical markets is highly preferred.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact with C-level executives, engineering teams, and operational staff.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively, within a cross-functional team.
  • Willingness to travel (~60%) across the Americas to meet with clients and develop business opportunities.

Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
