What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supplier Quality Engineer position at FPC of Savannah?
The Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for evaluating and auditing supplier processes to ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards, customer requirements, and internal quality expectations. This role involves collaboration with suppliers to drive continuous improvement and ensure high quality materials, components, and assemblies. This is a REMOTE position with home base in the LA area.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and approve new suppliers
- Develop, maintain, and execute supplier audit schedules
- Work with suppliers to investigate non-conformances, determine root cause, implement CAPA
- Collaborate cross-functionally with NPI and supplier readiness
Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen
- BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field
- 3-5 years supplier quality experience
- Strong knowledge of AS9100 and NADCAP
- Familiarity with heat treating, welding, plating, NDT a plus
Salary : $125,000 - $135,000
