Our industry-leading client is hiring a Production Manager for their Porter County, Indiana site due to an internal promotion! The ideal candidate will come from the pulp & paper industry and have a passion for green products. Consumer trends are driving increased demand towards recycled vs. virgin products, which is bringing growth to the business. This site is smaller for the org but is their most productive-they make the most product and are proud of it. This hire will strategize with other internal teams to ensure operational excellence.

Responsibilities
- Manage and evaluate the entire production process
- Lead a team of 5 direct reports including assistant PM's plant chemist
- Assist in capital planning and budget development adherence and analysis
- Maintain a safety-first production environment
- Evaluate new trends (production methods and machinery, personnel development) for deployment within the mill, driving a culture of continuous improvement
- Coordinate with key internal and external production stakeholders
- Reports to onsite GM & works closely w/ executive leaders to ensure continued plant profitability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pulp & Paper Science highly preferred, or BS Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- 4-6 years of production experience specifically in paper mills
- Top candidates will have experience working on multiple paper machines, stock prep systems, and with high mixed waste recycled products
- US Citizen or Green Card Holder
Salary : $150,000 - $165,000
