Great opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to work for a fluid handling systems manufacturer just south of Monroe, NC.
Our client is a global leader in piping and valve components looking for a motivated Manufacturing Engineer to be responsible for managing a defined project segment within a larger, global initiative in addition to long-term Manufacturing Engineering responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of manufacturing-related projects, from concept through implementation.
- Coordinate with production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and external stakeholders to align project goals and resolve cross-departmental challenges.
- Apply deep manufacturing engineering knowledge to guide design decisions, process improvements, and equipment selection.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, track milestones, and manage resources to ensure cost-effective execution.
- Identify potential risks early and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays or quality issues.
- Drive lean initiatives and process optimization within the scope of the project.
- Provide clear, structured updates to leadership and stakeholders, including progress reports, KPIs, and escalation of critical issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in either Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, MET, or similar
- Experience with 3D CAD software
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing
- Project Experience surrounding the movement and installation of technology, equipment transfer, plant layout changes, New Product Introduction changes, plant decommissioning & subsequent start-up, or similar
