What are the responsibilities and job description for the Client Service Associate → Associate Advisor Track position at FPC Investment Advisory, Inc.?
We are seeking a Client Service Associate who is ready to take the next step toward becoming a Financial Advisor.
This is not an entry-level role. This position is designed for someone who already understands the fundamentals of client service within a wealth management firm and is looking for a clear path to grow into an advisory role.
At our fee-only, independent RIA, you will work directly with experienced advisors, deepen your technical planning knowledge, and gradually take on more responsibility in client relationships over time.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a primary point of contact for client service needs
- Learn to prepare and assist in delivering financial plans
- Support portfolio management, trading, and rebalancing
- Coordinate account maintenance, transfers, and onboarding
- Participate in client meetings and ongoing relationship management
- Improve internal workflows and help enhance the client experience
Who This Role Is For
- Current Client Service Associates or similar roles at RIAs or wealth management firms
- 2 years of experience in a Client Service Associate or similar role within a wealth management or financial planning firm
- Actively pursuing or planning to pursue the CFP® designation with a long-term goal of becoming a Financial Advisor
- Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a collaborative environment
Qualifications
- Experience supporting financial advisors and high-net-worth clients
- Series 65 (or willingness to obtain)
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Planning, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience with custodians and planning/portfolio software (Schwab, Tamarac, etc.) preferred
