FPA Women’s Health, California's largest family planning provider, is looking for a Full-time Payment Processor to work in our administration office in San Bernardino.

Insurance payment processing of all paper checks and electronic remittances.The Payment Processor ensures accurate posting and adjustments of all third-party payments to ensure timely recognition of revenue and reconciliation with the bank.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
- Process and post incoming payments.
- Reconcile and adjust patient accounts.
- Post all incoming correspondence.
- Ensure accurate posting of patient copays and/or deductibles.
- Research and resolve discrepancies and/or posting errors.
- Initiates refunds of identified overpayment.
- Performs appropriate follow-up with payer for payments.
- Evaluate denials and partial payments to determine proper follow up.
- Alert management to irregularities, customer trends and areas of concern.
- Maintains communication with direct Manager and promptly follows-up with other departments and clinics as needed.
- Other responsibilities and duties as assigned based upon business needs and requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum of 2 years payment posting in a healthcare setting.
- Explanation of benefits (EOB) experience.
- Posting and reconciliation of electronic checks and paper checks.
- Knowledge of retrieving EOBs from various portals.
- Knowledge of downloading payment files and reporting.
- NextGen experience is highly desirable.
