Accounts Receivable Specialist

This position plays a key role in supporting the company’s cash flow and credit management processes by reconciling accounts, resolving billing discrepancies, and communicating effectively with customers and internal departments. Key Responsibilities

· Process customer payments, post cash receipts, and reconcile daily deposits.

· Review customer accounts to ensure timely collections and follow up on past-due balances.

· Maintain accurate records of customer communications, adjustments, and credit memos.

· Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Accounting teams to resolve billing or payment discrepancies.

· Monitor credit limits and assist in identifying accounts requiring management review.

· Prepare and distribute aging reports, collection status updates, and AR metrics to management.

· Support month-end close processes by reconciling AR subledger to the general ledger.

· Assist with tax exemption certificate maintenance and compliance through Avalara.

· Contribute to process improvement initiatives and AR automation projects (e.g., Quadient, Infor Cloudsuite workflows).

· Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional, solution-oriented approach in all communications.

Qualifications

· Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).

· Experience: 3–5 years of progressive Accounts Receivable experience, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment.

· Strong knowledge of general accounting principles (GAAP) and AR best practices.

· Proficient in ERP/accounting systems; experience with Infor CloudSuite Distribution (CSD) preferred.

· Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations).

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.

· Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.

Compensation & Benefits

· Competitive salary range: $50,000 – $60,000 per year, based on experience.
