POSITION SUMMARY
The Field Supervisor oversees Field Maintenance Technicians and ensures maintenance operations are performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards. This role is responsible for coordinating schedules, managing work assignments, providing technical guidance, and supporting technicians in troubleshooting and completing service requests. The Field Supervisor serves as a key point of contact between field personnel, dispatch, management, and clients to ensure projects are completed successfully and client expectations are met.
Work schedules may vary based on project demands and customer needs. This position requires flexibility to work day shifts, night shifts, and occasional weekends as necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of Field Maintenance Technicians to ensure timely completion of service requests and projects
- Assign and prioritize work orders based on urgency, project requirements, and client needs
- Monitor quality of work, provide guidance, and assist with troubleshooting complex maintenance issues across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and other trades
- Maintain communication with dispatch, management, technicians, and clients regarding ongoing projects, emergencies, and operational updates
- Conduct performance feedback and support the professional development of field personnel
- Ensure safety protocols and company policies are followed, including proper use of tools, vehicles, and equipment
- Prepare and review service reports, documentation, and project updates
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency service requests as needed
- Assist with scheduling, workforce planning, and resource allocation
- Perform special assignments and tasks as needed
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in general maintenance or facilities management, including multi-trade technical skills
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and participation in emergency on-call rotations as business needs require
