What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics and Fulfillment Associate position at Foxhound Bee Company?
We are looking for the right person to join our team full-time who can help us fulfill our customer orders by picking and packing orders for fulfilment. Make sure you read our whole description before applying. If you don't, we will not look at your application.
Picker and Packer: This position will focus on packing orders for shipment to the customer. This includes packing orders efficiently, safely, and accurately and preparing them for pickup by freight services, FedEx, DHL, and UPS. This person needs to be a fast worker and comfortable with computers and shipping software like Shipstation and Shopify. You would be good at this position if you were the kind of person who prides themselves on grabbing the exact size of Tupperware for the leftovers from dinner just by looking at it.

Foxhound Bee Company started in 2004 and focuses on teaching and equipping aspiring and current beekeepers. We are known for our high-quality beekeeping supplies, but we also hold classes and open hive demonstrations for customers throughout the year to educate customers about honeybees.

Our current is in Downtown Birmingham, but we are expanding to a new location, warehouse and retail store in. Irondale Alabama in the fall of 2025.

This position is perfect for a person with a flexible schedule who is able to commit to 35 hours a week and is a fast learner and committed to details. This position focuses on warehouse responsibilities, including moving inventory, counting inventory, assembling equipment with pneumatic tools, painting, and other tasks related to stocking and inventory. The main purpose of the position is to serve customers by preparing their orders accurately and efficiently.

Picking and Packing:
- Foxhound Bee Company ships all over the world to retail and wholesale customers, so picking orders and packing them into boxes for shipping is a daily responsibility.
- Picking accurate orders for local customers to pick up and load vehicles if needed.
- Taking deliveries from shippers and adding to inventory system as needed.
- Working with shipping software to print labels and schedule pickups from carriers.
A thorough understanding of bees is not necessary for this job, but it would be great if you are a beekeeper!
