Piano Player

Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Piano Player and Accompanist to bring vibrant musical energy to our performances and events. We are an LGBTQ bar seeking to have a regular piano bar vibe on selected early evenings of the week, including Sunday afternoons, as well as accompanying members of our team during Drag Cabaret. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering captivating live piano music that enhances the atmosphere and engages audiences. Your creativity, technical skill, and enthusiasm will help create memorable experiences for our guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your musical talents in a dynamic environment.

Duties

• Perform live piano music across various settings
• Collaborate with event organizers and other performers to select appropriate repertoire and setlists
• Adapt performances to suit different audience sizes and atmospheres
• Maintain the piano in excellent condition
• Engage with audiences to create an energetic and welcoming environment through lively musical interactions
• Assist in setting up sound equipment or stage arrangements as needed
• Follow safety protocols and ensure all equipment is used responsibly during performances

Qualifications

• Proficiency in various musical genres, with a focus on lively, engaging styles suitable for diverse audiences
• Ability to read sheet music and/or improvise when necessary
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with event staff and audiences
• Flexibility to perform during evenings, weekends, or special occasions as required
• Passion for live music and creating memorable entertainment experiences
