Position Summary: Inspects finished products, products being processed, incoming materials, parts and assemblies, etc. for conformance to company standards. Position Responsibilities: Checks randomly selected samples and verifies accuracy of equipment or process. Examine, test, or measure raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet specifications. Reports conditions requiring immediate repair. Works under general supervision. Keeps records and makes reports indicating results of inspections. Inspect work areas to detect unsafe conditions. Document, production holds based on findings Daily usage of measurements; micrometers, calipers to check dimensions with blueprints and technical drawings. Ensure tools are calibrated and set up properly and according to specifications Obtain samples to conduct studies in laboratory for analysis. Conduct Product and Process audits and LPA (Layered process audits) Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required: Strong and accurate data entry skills Intermediate skills in using Microsoft tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerBI preferred) Excellent organization skills Excellent problem-solving skills. Self-motivated – able to work with minimal supervision Use of powered hand tools Testing of raw materials and/or finished products, which may or may not include industry standard test methods (e.g. ANSI/ASME measuring standards) Position Qualifications: Education: HS graduate or equivalent Experience: 1 years of experience in quality and/or production Previous experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred Previous experience with Oracle, SAP or other database management systems preferred Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Activity Constantly - 6 hours : Stand, Walk, Twist/Turn, Stoop/Bend Frequently - 3 to 6 hrs. : Lift to 50 lbs. Shift: 5:00am – 1:30 PM - M-F Manufacturing Environment Working in hot and cold climates Personal Protective Equipment - Ear protection is readily available in high level noise areas Working around machinery with moving parts Working around moving objects or vehicles, Potential for slippery and uneven walking surfaces including use of ladders Working in close proximity to others Exposure to offensive odors Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer as well as calibrated measurement tools Exposures to and working with hazardous waste Disclaimer: This list does not represent all physical demands. Compensation Range $18.31 - $24.56 The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Fox reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
