FII USA, Inc., a Foxconn Technology Group Company, is seeking an Emergency Response Technician to support emergency preparedness activities and respond to incidents to protect employees, facilities, and operations. Once a part of the team, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks within the Environmental, Health, and Safety Department in a production environment and have the opportunity to display critical thinking skills to expand your career in Smart Manufacturing.
The Emergency Response Technician will assist in executing emergency response plans, support drills and training, and maintain emergency equipment while assisting this Environmental, Health, and Safety Department as needed.
Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency situations including medical incidents, fires, hazardous material spills, and evacuations
- Assist in the execution of site emergency response plans and procedures
- Support emergency response teams including fire brigade, evacuation teams, and first responders
- Participate in emergency drills and training exercises to ensure readiness
- Inspect and maintain emergency response equipment including fire extinguishers, spill kits, alarms, and first aid supplies
- Conduct routine inspections of emergency exits, eyewash stations, safety showers, and evacuation routes
- Assist in identifying potential hazards and support mitigation efforts
- Provide basic first aid and CPR as needed during incidents
- Support documentation of emergency drills, incidents, and response activities
- Assist in incident investigations and root cause analysis for emergency-related events
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and company safety standards
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership during emergency situations
- Support safety training efforts related to emergency response and preparedness
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of emergency response areas and equipment
- Other Duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree in Emergency Management, Fire Science, or related field preferred
- 1 year of experience in emergency response, safety, or industrial environment preferred
- Knowledge of basic emergency response procedures and safety practices
- Ability to respond quickly and remain calm in high-pressure situations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and certification programs
- Basic knowledge of OSHA and general safety standards preferred
- CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain
- Ability to stand, walk, and respond quickly in a production environment and lift up to 50 pounds
