Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance & Program Management
- Develop, implement, andmaintain EH&S programs designed forPCBA and system assembly processes, ensuring compliance withOSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies.
- Ensure adherence to environmental, health, safety, andlossprevention standards in areas such as soldering, chemical handling, ESD control, and high-power test operations.
- Monitor changes in legislation and industry standards tomaintainongoing compliance and operational readiness.
- Conduct risk assessments focused onmanufacturing hazards(chemical use, solder reflow ovens, press-fit equipment, system-level testing, lifting operations, etc.).
- Lead investigations of incidents, accidents, and near-misses; perform root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
- Managetimelyclosure and documentation of all corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Maintainaccurateand compliant incident reporting processes.
- Deliver EH&S training tailored toelectronicsassembly environments(chemical handling, PPE, machine guarding, fire safety, ESD, and ergonomics).
- Promote a proactive safety culture through communication, safety campaigns, and behavioral safety programs.
- Ensure contractor safety onboarding and compliance within PCBA/system assembly production areas.
- Conduct safety audits, site inspections, and walk-throughs ofproduction floors, labs, and test areastoidentifyand resolve issues.
- Maintain required EH&S documentation, including SDS/MSDS, chemical inventories, incident logs, and training records.
- Support andmaintainISO 14001andISO 45001management systems.
- Activelyparticipatein internal and external audits to ensurecertificationreadiness and compliance.
- Lead the preparation and execution of EH&S action plans specific toelectronics manufacturing operations, including accident prevention, chemical safety, fire prevention, and waste management.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for corporate, external, and regulatory bodies regarding EH&S programs.
- Coordinate fire safety inspections, lifting equipment checks, and hazardous waste disposal compliance activities.
- Develop andmaintainEmergency Response and Business Continuity Plans adapted toassembly and testing operations.
- Organize emergency drills (chemicalspill, fire,earthquake, evacuation) and ensure all departments are trained and prepared.
- Partner with engineering, operations, quality, and facilities to integrate safety into daily PCBA and system assembly practices.
- Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and regulators to support EH&Sobjectives.
- Communicate safety expectations effectively across all internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of EH&S experience inelectronics manufacturing, PCBA, or system assembly environments.
- Strong knowledge ofOSHA standards, EPA regulations, and related compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in hazard identification, chemical safety, and manufacturing risk mitigation.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent credential.
- Advanced degree in Safety, Environmental Management, Fire Protection, or related discipline.
- Internal auditor experience withISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001management systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing EH&S inhigh-volume PCBA or system-level assembly operations.
