Summary

Responsible for contributing to the advancement of Fox World Travel Technology Systems and Services to include maintenance and development of Travel Automation Systems, and to include coordination with Online Product Systems supporting all divisions of Fox World Travel.

A day in the life of a Travel Technology Specialist at Fox may include:

  • Working with the development team to implement cost-effective, quality automated processes and routines to maximize efficiency and service for our frontline associates.
  • In coordination with the Fox Project Management Office, successfully onboarding new clients by identifying custom requirements, setting up applications, and serving as a subject matter expert during the implementation process.
  • Providing expert level knowledge on assigned technology products as a product owner/specialist.
  • Providing technical support to both internal and external customers for Fox World Travel technology systems via phone, email, and incident management system.
  • Conducting research and facilitating problem resolution for service issues across Fox World Travel technology systems.
  • Performing core operational technology tasks while documenting standard operating procedures, support activities, and project work to drive consistency, transparency, and continuous improvement across automation and customer-facing systems.
  • Consistently applying Fox World Travel practices while meeting or exceeding quality and productivity goals and striving for ongoing development through training and constructive feedback.
  • Training both internal and external customers on the use of Fox World Travel technology systems.
  • Participating in on-call rotation for support/reporting of after-hours core system outages.
  • Continuously enhancing expertise in technology products and travel vendor practices by actively engaging in professional development, industry research, and networking opportunities.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of Fox World Travel business practices and client information.
  • Building and maintaining professional relationships with clients and vendors at all organizational levels using diplomacy and tact, while effectively managing multiple priorities under pressure. Ability to work flexible hours/shifts as determined by business need.
  • Maintaining a favorable and collaborative working relationship with co-workers in all departments to foster an environment of trust and mutual respect. Driving standards and best practices whenever possible and effectively fostering a culture of engagement.
  • Enhancing the organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Being innovative and recommending new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of operations and services performed.
  • Other duties, projects and alternate assignments as determined by business need.

Requirements

This opportunity might be for you if you have:

  • 1-2 years travel industry experience and/or equivalent education or practical experience.
  • Education or practical experience with mid-office, script programming or other related travel technology systems, with Sabre and Travelport platforms preferred.
  • Global Distribution System proficiency, Sabre and Travelport (Galileo/Travelport ) preferred.
  • Project Management training and/or practical experience in leading special projects preferred.
  • Practical experience in process development.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong verbal, written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Skills utilizing of various software application packages to include: Microsoft Word/Excel.

  • For On-site and Hybrid Associates: Regular attendance is necessary to successfully perform this job; extended hours may be necessary from time to time. The incumbent works in an office environment where the noise level is low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including but not limited to computers, a headset, a mouse, a keyboard, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
  • For Work-At-Home Associates: Regular attendance is necessary to successfully perform this job; extended hours may be necessary from time to time. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including but not limited to computers, a headset, a mouse, and a keyboard.

We acknowledge that attracting and retaining the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. As a result, we strive to structure competitive compensation offers to ensure we are able to attract the best candidates. The estimated base pay range for this position starts between $68,000 and $76,000 annually, less applicable withholdings and deductions, and is paid on a bi-weekly basis. The salary range provided represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect. We structure our offers within the range based on location, experience, education, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, market conditions, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.

Eligible positions may receive additional incentive or commission, as outlined in applicable program details.
