Job Description: Advertising Sales Account Executive
Location: Wilmington, NC (On-site)
Compensation: Competitive base/draw salary ($45,000-$55,000) based on experience, plus uncapped commission

We are owned by Charlotte-based American Spirit Media and feature the market's strongest local sports lineup—including the Carolina Panthers (NFL), MLB, FOX College Sports, and NASCAR. We also produce two popular local TV shows: Welcome Home and Medically Speaking.
The Role
We are seeking a driven, creative, and self-managed Advertising Sales Account Executive to join our team in Wilmington. In this on-site, full-time role, you will be the driving force behind the growth of local businesses and the local economy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop & Manage: Build lasting relationships with local business owners and community leaders.
- Strategize: Create tailored advertising proposals combining top-tier TV (WSFX / FOX Wilmington) and digital media platforms.
- Close: Achieve and exceed revenue targets by consistently implementing effective sales strategies.
- Manage Campaigns: Track campaign performance, analyze market trends, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Promote: Create unique sponsorship and promotional opportunities in the community.
Qualifications & Skills
- Sales Acumen: Proven success in account management, sales, and meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
- Media Savvy: Strong understanding of digital media platforms, social media trends, and traditional advertising.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a knack for building rapport.
- Drive: Ability to work independently with a self-driven mindset, while collaborating effectively in a team setting.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (Preferred).
Previous experience in media/advertising sales is a significant plus!
