Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant specializing in Sleep and Pulmonary Medicine. The position is based in Appleton, WI, and involves providing comprehensive care for patients with sleep and pulmonary conditions. Key responsibilities include patient evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning, interpreting diagnostic tests, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and educating patients on managing their conditions. The role also includes documenting clinical notes and maintaining patient records in compliance with applicable regulations.
Qualifications
- Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant and valid certification with relevant professional boards
- Clinical experience in Sleep Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, or a related specialty
- Proficiency in diagnostic procedures, such as interpreting pulmonary function tests and sleep studies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with supervising physicians and navigating patient care plans
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical principles of medical practice
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) and experience with healthcare documentation systems
- Additional certifications in pulmonary care or sleep disorders are an advantage
