Position Summary
Responsible for providing administrative support to designated physicians, including answering telephones, performing registration duties, scheduling appointments, and updating patient accounts.
Locations: Geneva and Elgin, Illinois (must be able to travel between locations)
Status: Full-Time (40 Hours/week)
Hours: Monday - Friday, including rotating evenings and rotating weekends
Starting Pay Range: $20 - $22/Hour
Essential Job Functions
- Greet and direct patients.
- Answer telephone callas and assist or direct callers as appropriate.
- Perform registration ensuring timely and accurate completion of documentation.
- Responsible for scheduling patient appointments and/or tests and assisting in obtaining necessary referrals.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
- Facilitate internal communication regarding physician schedule changes and issues pertaining to patient care.
- Obtains accurate patient information when answering and returning telephone calls.
- Transfers calls and/or patient cases to the appropriate departments.
- Checks patients in using both electronic tools and paper forms to ensure all necessary patient information and documents are obtained, including insurance card/information, patient identification, physician and insurance referrals, and personal/work injury/third party information as necessary.
- Facilitates the scheduling and registration of Urgent Care (unscheduled) patients.
- Collects and processes payments keeping an accurate record of payments received.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
Must be able to pass background check. We also conduct pre-employment TB and drug testing. Any job offer will be contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment TB and drug screen, background check, and obtaining active licensures per job requirements.
Salary : $20 - $22
