Physical Therapy Technician
Location: Geneva, Illinois
Status: Full-Time (40 Hours/Week)
Days/Hours: Days and hours vary (no weekends)
Expected Starting Pay (based on experience): $17.00 - $20.00/Hour
Summary
Responsible for supporting the PT/PTA in their daily productivity. Assists with supervising patients while exercising, putting on and removing hot / cold packs, removing electrodes, and general support to the therapists.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists with treating all patients except Medicare under the direct supervision of a Physical Therapist.
- Assists with modalities, as recommended by a Physical Therapist.
- Schedules patients.
- Maintain clean, safe working environment to facilitate quality of patient care, and efficient operations.
- Exhibits a willingness to adopt to changing environment including various locations.
- Maintains appropriate confidentiality.
- Receives incoming telephone calls for clinic, obtains callers name, and forwards call to appropriate person or takes a message.
- Greets patients and visitors in a polite and professional manner and provides information and assistance to them.
- Orders supplies as directed by the Clinic Manager, maintains waiting room, performs typing, assists with report generation, and other clerical duties.
- Assists PT, PTA, ATC with evaluation room and gym preparation and clean up including contrast baths, ice cups, hydrocollator and freezer maintenance, removal of e-stim patches and cold packs.
- Regulates flow of laundry, as needed.
Education and/or Experience
Required:
- High School graduate or equivalent
