Electrician

Job description

The Residential Electrician is part of Fox Valley Electric’s Operations team. As a skilled member of the team, you will help with installation of high-end custom residential projects.

Responsibilities:

· Residential electrical installations including everything from layout through finish trim

· Ability to be a team player with a positive attitude

· Ability to take direction from Lead and then work diligently to complete assigned tasks

· Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical component and system issues

· Utilize safe work practices at all times

· Attend training sessions and weekly team meetings on new projects, installation methodology and safety

· Perform other related duties, as assigned

Requirements

· 2-5 years of Electrician experience in residential

· Understanding of NEC codes

· Ability to work independently through aspects of residential projects.

· Comfortable working outdoors and on active job sites in a variety of weather conditions

· Position may require working at heights including on rooftops, climbing ladders and stairs

· Capable of performing repetitious duties, including lifting, bending and standing for long periods

· Experience using basic hand and power tools

· Basic computer and smartphone skills required

· Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Must have excellent customer service skills

· Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment

· Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements

· Ability to safely handle tools and materials such as ladders, panel boards, batteries, light

fixtures and other similar electrical equipment, etc

Pay Range: $28/hour - $34/hour based on experience
